Vintage ANRI Mechanical Bottle Stopper - Nodder Bobblehead, 1930s

Vintage hand carved mechanical stopper by Anton Riffeser (ANRI) in the Tyrol North Italy region, employed skilled local artisans to carve small wooden figures attached to solid cork bases. Because each piece was handmade, individual colors, facial features, and clothing details vary. 

This vintage Anri mechanical wine bottle stopper is a rare "noddle" bobblehead - no pull lever, his head bobbles a little. He is sitting on a barrel with a painted/stained shirt with collar. The cork has been used.  Approximately 4” tall.
