Vintage (LGB) Little Golden Book - Two Little Miners, 1949 1st edition with marking of A. Written by Margaret Wise Brown and Edith Thacher Hurd. Illustrated by Richard Scarry's, marking his first book illustration. This book is in good condition with usual paper color fade but the graphics remain entirely intact. All pages of story are included and celebrates everyday working jobs, following two miners underground and back up to the surface.
The main set of journal papers placed in front and then within where story line creatively changed, with blank paper in back of journal. The pages added have been slightly filed to create a intentionally worn look to match the original book inside. All pages of the book were available/used, front cover to back. An antique gold 1.25" binder ring was used to allow plenty of expansion, with acrylic sheet outside front/back. This book includes:
50 dbl side lined writing papers, 10 watercolor grade white paper, color/pattern cardstock, pocket page, 4/6-3/4 journal prompt cards.
Please note: This book has a flaw, occurred while making - due to its age and "softness" of the cardboard. The spine was reinforced with book repair tape before binding, and is strong. You will notice the hole punch unexpected "shift" after the repair due to the thickness of repair. *see photo* Oops. Functionality has not been compromised. I have discounted this journal to represent a less than perfect aesthetic but otherwise is a solid lovely vintage journal ready for you to use :)
